If your order does not require special handling, the first installment will ship to your recipient on the 15th of the coming month. However, FE can help you meet your exact gift-giving requirements if our standard shipping policy does not fit your particular requirements

FE has the ability to fulfill your order the very same day if necessary. We ship via USPS Priority Mail, so your package is only days away. If you need something faster, you can take advantage of our click-&-print online gift cards suitable for last-minute gift-giving, or you can upgrade your order to expedited shipping. Fishing Enthusiast Gift of the Month ships to all of our recipients on the 15th of the month. With this schedule in mind, we understand that often our customers need to give their recipient something on or before a particular date. If you don't see the solution to your particular circumstances below, call us. FE will work with you to determine the best way to meet your gift-giving needs.

Last-minute order? No problem!
Last minute orders are always welcome. FE ships via USPS Priority Mail by default. However, we also offer USPS Express Mail and Federal Express delivery options as well (more here). Use one of our free online gift cards and it won't look like you waited until the last minute.

Order Now with a Delayed Start Date
If you request a delayed start, we'll send your recipient our Welcome Kit immediately. The FE Welcome Kit details your gift subscription order and explains that the first installment will ship on the 15th of the month you specify at the time the subscription is ordered. FE can activate your order at anytime, so you pick the start-date and FE will take care of the rest. Add one of our free online gift cards and you can give a FE gift subscription today!

  Are you giving a FE gift subscription in person?  
 

If you are ordering a subscription as a gift and would like to give the FE Welcome Kit and the first installment of the subscription to your recipient in person, Fishing Enthusiast can ship the first installment directly to you. The remaining installments will be shipped to the Shipping Address you specify during the order process.

During the order process where you are asked to leave FE Special Instructions regarding your order, simply tell us that you want the first installment to arrive at your Billing Address. We'll take care of the rest.

If your order does not require any special handling, Fishing Enthusiast will ship the first installment of your gift subscription to your recipient on the 15th of the coming month via fast USPS Priority Mail (more here).

During the month of December, FE will ship orders placed after the 15th and before the 24th the same day (when the order is received before 2pm MT M-F).

Need it there faster?
At checkout, you can choose between USPS Priority Mail or FedEx 2day delivery. FE can also ship your order out the same day via USPS Express Mail or Federal Express for an additional charge through 10am MT M-F.

  FE ships actual tackle and its written history to our subscriber base on the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a weekend, we ship the following Monday.

Think of Fishing Enthusiast Gift of the Month as you might think of periodical like Architectural Digest, Forbes, etc.: they send you your latest issue once a month. We work the same way.

  FE is very concerned about our impact on the environment.  
 

Sports Afield said that our packaging suggests a "rustic elegance." That's exactly what we are shooting for, but we're also very concerned about the impact our packaging materials have on the environment.

In keeping with this commitment, we are continually considering the impact of each of our packing materials and of our waste products:

  • FE makes use of paper products made from 100% post consumer waste
  • 100% biodegradable starch-based packing peanuts
  • Our packaging twine is manufactured from hemp
  • Many unbleached paper products are used throughout
  • FE has signed environmental adherence contracts with several of our vendors, in which the Company has agreed to strict purchasing and disposal procedures
  • FE donates a certain percentage of our annual income (and/or subscription donations) to angling-related organizations dedicated to the restoration and preservation of fish habitat

These materials and others make up nearly all of our paper usage. We are continually searching for alternative materials with environmentally - friendly characteristics.

Each month we select only the lures and flies that have a strong record of fish-catching success year after year on various types of water. It is very rare, but on occasion, Fishing Enthusiast Gift of the Month will cancel orders flagged for possible credit card fraud. This is to protect our customers from unauthorized credit card charges. You can read more about our Red Flag fraud protection policy here.

Please read this important information regarding canceled orders:

  • A canceled order remains in our system for up to 72 hours; FE can activate the order and ship on schedule and without delay when our inquiry is acknowledged.
  • Fishing Enthusiast only cancels flagged orders after exhausting all methods of contacting our customers using the information provided during the order process.
  • FE will leave a minimum of one voice mail message regarding and will send a minimum of two email messages regarding the order prior to cancellation.
  • If an order is canceled, the credit card provided will not be charged.

  FE's Red Flag policy regarding online ordering  
 

To prevent unauthorized credit card charges, we've developed our Red Flag policy. FE's online fraud protection policy has been designed to protect our customers' privacy and the integrity of the credit card holder's account. If one or more of the three following circumstances occur, FE will cancel an order placed placed on our website:

  • The customer contact phone number is determined to be invalid
  • The customer contact email address is determined to be invalid
  • The credit card address verification is determined to be invalid

This policy has been instituted to protect against unauthorized credit card charges. Only a very small number of orders placed on Fishing Enthusiast's website are canceled as a result of our determining that information is invalid. Our staff goes to significant lengths to contact customers who's information is flagged under this policy to verify the information.

If in the unlikely event your order has been canceled your account remains in our database. To reactivate your order, you need only to call our offices toll-free and your representative will update the flagged information and your order will be processed within 24 hours. Often FE can ship your order without any delay.
